The Licking Valley Bass Anglers, (LVBA), is a non federated bass fishing club with approximately thirteen members who share the common interest of bass fishing, friendly competition and preservation of our natural resources. The club is based and meets in Alexandria, KY. It is named for the land and foothills that surround the Licking River as it flows from Cave Run Lake to its confluence with the Ohio River. Our membership varies from the more experienced angler to newcomers and has members from Ohio and Kentucky. The club was formed in 1999 by members who wanted the competition of tournaments in friendly, honest and open environment where your competitors are also your friends. The membership welcomes teams made up of husband/wife, father/son, friends or individuals.
The LVBA tournament season consists of six regular season tournaments and the LVBA Classic Championship. The top ten regular season point leaders compete in the annual LVBA Classic to determine the Classic Champion. Tournaments are fished in team format with points based on each individual's results. Points based on final tournament results and finishing positions determine the Angler of the Year and the remaining positions in the club.
The LVBA mission and goals include the promotion of our sport in a positive manner, development of our members angling skills and preservation of our natural resources. We encourage new members to join if you want to fish in a friendly, competitive tournament format, meet other anglers who share many of the same interests and enjoy camaraderie with other club members.
